Summary of functions…
The Dairy and Frozen Foods Manager coordinates merchandise and associate activities within the Walmart branch department(s) through module integrity, permanent inventory, merchandise management and customer service, while continually providing exemplary customer service through adherence to Walmart’s core principles and values.
What you will do…
1. Assists the management team in overseeing the department, which includes: participating in mentoring and training, assigning tasks, recognizing and supervising the work of hourly associates, communicating with them appropriately and effectively.
2. Orders merchandise in a timely manner.
3. Eliminates pricing errors (e.g., Optical Scanning Accuracy Program).
4. Adheres to standards and guidelines for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, and expiration dates.
5. Follows food safety and food handling procedures, as well as cleaning and sanitation procedures.
6. Follows proper procedures for markups and markdowns, price changes, signage, placards, labels, liquidation, competitor and pricing reviews.
7. Listen to customer complaints, examine returned merchandise and resolve issues to restore and encourage good public relations.
8. Respect department budgets, including pouring.
